How the waiver takes effect
The shop sets the shipping costs to zero as soon as a redeemed voucher carries this property.Because the waiver is applied last, it overrides everything calculated before: base costs, per-item, weight-based and item-dependent costs, a stored minimum shipping flat rate and any reductions already deducted. A shipment that would otherwise never fall below a base amount still costs nothing with this voucher.
Free shipping can come from three sources in the shop: from the shipping method itself, from the customer account and from such a voucher. If one of the first two already applies, the voucher has no effect, without anyone noticing. With a promotion for customers who have permanent free shipping, you therefore give nothing away, but you also gain nothing.
Prerequisite
The voucher generator must be activated. Contact your WEBSALE representative to arrange this.If the vouchers come from an external system and are therefore not in WEBSALE format, add the entry
ExternalVouchers-Allow = yes in the <Voucher-Txt> section of the shop.config.Step 1: Create the voucher
When creating the voucher in the voucher generator, enter the following string in the Kundenspezifische Features (custom features) field at the very bottom. This function has no further settings. It is either set or not.
The property can be combined with a value. A voucher can therefore deduct ten euros and waive shipping at the same time. You can also create it without a value, in which case free shipping is the entire benefit.
Step 2: State the benefit in the shop (optional)
Otherwise, the customer only sees that the shipping cost line is missing or shows zero. An explicit notice makes the benefit visible. The section refers to the currently loaded voucher data, i.e. to an entered voucher or to one you have loaded with
VOUCHER-LoadData.There is no rejection reason for this type of voucher. A free shipping voucher is never rejected on that account. If there are no shipping costs, simply nothing happens.
