In addition to the start page of your shop or your subshop, other pages of your shop can of course also be opened via external deep links. With an external deep link, any other page is called up. To do this, one or more parameters are appended to the shop call that specify the exact destination. External deep links are used, for example, by search engines, price search engines, affiliate networks, or AdWords and banner ads. Deep links typically refer to categories and products. Since such external links are indexed by search engines, it is important to design them in the interests of search engines (SEO). Detailed information can be found under: Guide: SEO URLs Guide: URL and link optimization For more information on URL parameters and their meaning, see Materials: URL parameters. In this chapter we limit ourselves to important links that are relevant for the marketing of your shop. The sections go from the start page through category and product to the individual shop page and the search.

For search engine optimization (SEO) reasons, it is strongly recommended to call the start page of the shop via the main domain and not with a URL supplemented by parameters. Only in exceptional cases and in coordination with the responsible search engine optimizer may a different syntax be set up for the shop call.
