Every uploaded customer photo comes with a fixed set of details: the image file itself, who submitted it, when, with which comment and for which product. The tags on this page output exactly these details. They are the shared toolkit of the three ProductsInAction templates. In the gallery, they are used in the loop over all images; in the detail view, for the single image; in the notification emails, for the image just uploaded. The notation is the same everywhere. Guide: Offering ProductsInAction

The image file

Both tags return a complete address, not just a file name. They therefore go directly into the src attribute without you having to prepend a path in the template.
The preview image belongs in the gallery and the product list, the normal image in the single view. A thumbnail grid made of normal images makes the page load unnecessarily slowly, because during upload the shop only scales down to the configured normal size, not to the display size in the grid.

The submitter

E-PIA_UserIndex and E-PIA_UserIP belong in the notification email to the shop operator, not on a page in the shop. Both are personal data that are none of other visitors’ business.

Time and comment

The comment is optional. As a range tag, E-PIA_Comment only applies if a comment actually exists, and otherwise also keeps the label in front of it off the page. Without this range, many images in the gallery show an empty “Comment:”.

File and product

E-PIA_FileSize chooses the unit itself. Up to 50 KB, the tag outputs KB, above that MB. Writing your own unit in the template therefore leads to output such as “0,12 MB KB”.
E-PIA_Techname is the key you use to address a single image. The single view is called with the techname parameter, a product’s gallery with the pi parameter and the product index. If you mix the two up, you always end up in the product gallery instead of at the desired image.

The tags at a glance

All tags on this page are permitted in the ProductsInAction templates for the gallery and detail view, as well as in the ProductsInAction email templates. In the gallery template, they are used within the {@E-PIA_DATA} loop; in the detail view, within E-PIA_SHOW-SINGLE. Reference: E-PIA_ (Gallery) · Reference: E-PIA_ (Single view and rating)
In the upload template, these tags are only filled after a successful upload, i.e. within E-PIA_UPLOAD-SUCCESSFULL. Before that, there is no image yet that they could refer to.
