A subscriber has more choices than on or off. They can select individual target groups, suspend delivery for a while, or unsubscribe completely and have themselves added to the blacklist. The tags on this page build the management page for this. Almost all of them belong in the E-NL-SEC-Manage section. Guide: E-Marketing Manager

Is the visitor a recipient at all?

E-NL-Receiver applies if the visitor is logged in and registered as a newsletter recipient. Everything that relates to an existing subscription belongs inside this range.
E-NL-Receiver is only evaluated within E-NL-SEC-Manage. In the sections for subscribing and unsubscribing, it has no effect.

Selecting target groups

A shop can run several newsletters; in the E-Marketing Manager they are called target groups. Each has an index by which the tags address it.
There is no loop over the target groups. Each one is written into the template individually with its index. If a target group is added in the manager, it must be added to the template as well.
This is why the {E-NL-TargetGroup(n)} range matters: it keeps the block off the page as long as no target group with this index exists. This lets you build the template in advance for more target groups than currently exist.
E-NL-TargetGroup_hidden() belongs next to the checkbox. Without this hidden field, the E-Marketing Manager does not learn on submission that a deselected checkbox was in the form at all, and treats the target group as unchanged.

Only for specific subshops

E-NL-Subshop() shows a section depending on the subshop the visitor is currently in.

Changing the status

A subscriber has exactly one of three states: active, paused or blacklisted. In the template, this is a group of three radio buttons.
E-NL-StatusActive_checked can also be used as a range tag. This lets you show additional fields only for the currently selected state, for example the date field only for a paused subscription.

The delivery pause

A pause raises the question of how long it lasts. Two tags provide the two possible types.
E-NL-PauseTillDate_error only outputs the string _error and is not a range tag. You write your own error message for it in the template, for example via the CSS class.
Three further tags belong to the pause and are needed if pausing is offered as a separate checkbox instead of a radio button group.

The blacklist

Anyone on the blacklist no longer receives mail from any target group. This is more than unsubscribing, because it also prevents accidental re-subscription later.
If the shop runs only a single target group, the difference between unsubscribing and the blacklist makes no sense to the visitor. In that case, set the blacklist permanently with E-NL-BlackList_hidden and do not show the checkbox at all.
The blacklist tags are only evaluated in the E-NL-SEC-Manage and E-NL-SEC-Unsubscribe sections.

The tags at a glance

All tags are permitted in the template entered in the shop configuration shop.config in the <eMarketingManager> section for the Manage parameter.
