# RATEREMINDMAIL- (Rating reminder)

> Let the buyer decide on the order overview whether they want to receive a reminder to rate the products after delivery, and adopt their earlier decision.

After delivery, the shop can remind the buyer by email to rate the purchased products. Whether they want such a reminder is up to the buyer, and they decide this on the order overview page `ws_place_order.htm`.

The `RATEREMINDMAIL-` tags build this selection. They return the names for the checkbox and the hidden field and answer the question of whether there is already an earlier decision by the buyer on which the preselection can be based.

## The two form fields

The selection consists of two elements: a checkbox that the buyer sees and a hidden field in which the decision is passed.

| `RATEREMINDMAIL-Hidden_value` | the value of the hidden field |

>
> The hidden field belongs in the same form as the checkbox. The shop system adopts the buyer's decision via this field. If it is missing, the state of the checkbox has no effect.

>
> All three tags are exclusively single tags.

## Adopting the earlier decision

If the buyer has already answered the question, the checkbox should show this instead of asking again. There are two sources for this: the current session and the last order.

| `RATEREMINDMAIL-UserLastOrderSelection` | How did they decide back then? |

As single tags, the two `Selection` tags output either `checked` or nothing. You therefore place them directly in the `input` element.

>
> The order in the example is deliberate: the decision from the current session is the more recent one and therefore takes precedence over the one from the last order. If there is no decision at all, the checkbox remains in its initial state.

>
> `RATEREMINDMAIL-UserSelectionSession` belongs within `RATEREMINDMAIL-UserSelectedSession`, `RATEREMINDMAIL-UserLastOrderSelection` within `RATEREMINDMAIL-UserLastorderExists`. Without the respective range, an empty result cannot be distinguished from a missing decision.

>
> Note the spelling: `UserLastorderExists` with a lowercase o, `UserLastOrderSelection` with a capital O. The two tag names are inconsistent at this point.

All tags apply exclusively on the order overview page `ws_place_order.htm`. The two `Selection` tags are each placed within their corresponding range.
