# Special online services

> The services of the online service area that require separate activation, from the image converter and DataFlowManager to freight cost calculation and RegisterCodes.

The special online services belong to individual shop features, some of which are subject to a charge. Unlike the [general online services](https://dokumentation.websale.de/en/v8s/online-servicebereich/allgemeine-online-dienste.md), they do not appear automatically in your online service area, but only after separate activation. Clarify with your WEBSALE contact whether a service is suitable for your shop.

The following sections describe the services in alphabetical order. Where there is a separate chapter in this documentation, this page only provides an introduction with a reference to it.

## Subscription module

With the subscription module, you sell products as a subscription with recurring delivery and billing.

Guide: [Subscription module](https://dokumentation.websale.de/v8s/marketing-funktionen/abo-modul.md)

## A/B test

With the A/B test, you compare two variants of a page and evaluate which one performs better.

Guide: [A/B test](https://dokumentation.websale.de/en/v8s/funktionen-zur-shop-optimierung/a-b-test.md)

## Inquiries

The Inquiries service lists all inquiries submitted via the shop in table form and shows the most important information about them. You change the sorting via the header row of the table.

## Image converter

The image converter automatically converts large numbers of images into different formats and sizes, for example product images, category images, and home page banners. You start the conversion process via the service in the online service area.

The formats and sizes that are created are not defined by the service but by the configuration file.

Reference: [Image converter configuration wsimageconvert.cfg](https://dokumentation.websale.de/en/v8s/referenz/konfigurationen/bildkonverter-konfiguration-wsimageconvert-cfg.md)

## DataFlowManager

With the DataFlowManager, you generate comprehensive data feeds for external services from your shop and product data, for example for Google Shopping.

The service is also required if you use an external search service such as FACT-Finder or Finderlogic. This connection is easily overlooked: without the DataFlowManager, the external search service receives no product data.

## Freight cost calculation

A separate web interface is available for maintaining freight costs, which you can reach in the online service area under **Freight cost calculation**. There you manage global settings, suppliers, zones, and freight costs, and you can import and export data. You can also send a request to the SOAP server from here.

## Glossary

With the glossary, you store explanations of terms that appear as an overlay in the shop.

Guide: [Glossary](https://dokumentation.websale.de/v8s/interaktive-funktionen/glossar.md)

## Campaign control

With campaign control, you deliver time-controlled promotions and content to the shop.

Guide: [Campaign control](https://dokumentation.websale.de/en/v8s/marketing-funktionen/kampagnensteuerung.md)

## Configuration

In the Configuration service, you edit the configuration files of your shop, for example the `shop.config` and the form configurations.

Basics: [Editing configurations](https://dokumentation.websale.de/en/v8s/grundlagen-konfiguration/bearbeiten-von-konfigurationen.md)

## Short addresses for campaigns

Short addresses are additional URLs for shop pages that can be called up from outside. They are used above all in print campaigns and advertisements: the reader finds a very short, meaningful address there that can easily be typed by hand into the browser's address bar. If someone calls up such a short address, the shop redirects them to the actual target page via a 301 redirect.

Short addresses are not created in a separate service but in the TopRank Manager.

## PayPal onboarding

For your shop to process payments via the PayPal Checkout interface, you must grant the WEBSALE AG shop platform permissions for your PayPal account. This step is called PayPal onboarding and is required for every PayPal account through which payments are to be processed.

To complete the onboarding:

1. Click **Connect with PayPal**.
2. Sign in with the credentials of the PayPal business account to be approved.
3. Accept the permissions displayed for your shop.
4. Follow PayPal's further instructions.

After successful onboarding, the account appears in the list below the button. WEBSALE activates the interface technically as soon as the user interfaces for buyers have been integrated into the shop.

If conflicts arise in PayPal's onboarding process, contact your PayPal contact person. WEBSALE has no access to this part of the process.

## ProductsInAction

With ProductsInAction, you show products in usage situations and make them orderable directly from the image.

Guide: [ProductsInAction module](https://dokumentation.websale.de/v8s/interaktive-funktionen/productsinaction-modul.md)

## RegisterCodes

A RegisterCode automatically enters a voucher code after sign-in and also controls the display of elements in the template. This means new customers no longer have to enter their benefit by hand in the checkout, which avoids drop-offs at this point.

Typical process: a code is communicated in new customer advertising. You create this code twice, once in the online service area in the **RegisterCode** module and once with the same code as a voucher in voucher management.

## Shop databases

The Shop databases service gives you access to various databases of the online shop. The most important of these is the customer data.

Via the search filter in the left column, you select a search criterion, enter a search term or a customer attribute, and start the search. Clicking the pencil icon opens the edit view, in which you view and change the information on the customer record via tabs.
