# Comments

> Add code comments in WEBSALE V9 templates using the hash character inside double curly braces so notes never appear in the rendered HTML output.

# Comments

For code comments, we use the hash character `#`. It is placed after the opening and before the closing double curly braces. Unlike pure HTML comments, V9 comments are not visible in the output.

| `{{# Belongs to ticket DES-12345 #}}`  `{{# V9 comment #}}` or combined `{{# #}}` | does not appear in the HTML code in the output |

>
> **Note:** In all bracketing, there must be no whitespace (space, tab, or similar) between the opening double curly braces `{{` and the V9 special characters (equals sign `=`, exclamation mark `!`, and hash `#`).

>

> {{# correct #}}
>
> {{ # incorrect #}}
> ```
